Terms of Service

Last Updated: April 8, 2026

1. Introduction

Welcome to Alora Hair, operated by Alora Health Inc. ("Alora," "we," "us," or "our"), a company registered in British Columbia, Canada. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Alora Hair website located at alorahair.ca (the "Site"), our mobile applications, and any related telehealth services (collectively, the "Platform").

By accessing or using our Platform, you agree to be bound by these Terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, you must not use the Platform.

These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Alora Health Inc. Please read them carefully before proceeding.

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated by email or by a prominent notice on the Site at least 14 days before they take effect. Your continued use of the Platform after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

2. Eligibility

To access the Platform and receive services, you must:

Alora currently serves residents of British Columbia. Availability in other provinces may be limited and is subject to applicable provincial regulatory requirements for naturopathic practice.

We reserve the right to refuse, suspend, or terminate access to the Platform for any individual who does not meet these eligibility requirements or who provides false or misleading information.

3. Services Description

Alora is a telehealth platform that connects patients experiencing female hair loss with licensed Naturopathic Doctors ("NDs") registered with the British Columbia Naturopathic Association and authorized to practice in British Columbia under the Health Professions Act, RSBC 1996, c. 183.

What We Provide

What We Do Not Provide

Practitioner Independence

All clinical decisions are made by the independent licensed NDs who use the Alora platform. Alora Health Inc. does not practice medicine or naturopathic medicine and does not interfere with clinical judgment. The relationship is between you and your ND.

Platform Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may temporarily suspend the Platform for maintenance with reasonable advance notice where possible.

4. Subscriptions & Billing

Subscription Plans

Alora offers subscription-based access to ongoing care. Subscription details, including pricing and billing cycles, are displayed at the time of enrollment. All prices are in Canadian dollars (CAD) and include applicable taxes as required by law.

Billing

Price Changes

We will provide at least 30 days written notice before changing subscription pricing. Continued use of the Platform after the effective date of a price change constitutes acceptance of the new pricing.

Insurance

Alora does not bill provincial health insurance (MSP) directly. Some extended health benefit plans may cover naturopathic consultations; it is your responsibility to verify coverage with your insurer. We can provide receipts for insurance submission upon request.

Promotional Offers

Promotional pricing and discount codes are subject to separate terms disclosed at the time of the offer and may not be combined with other offers unless explicitly stated.

5. Cancellation & Refunds

Cancelling Your Subscription

You may cancel your subscription at any time through your account settings or by contacting legal@alorahair.ca. Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing period; you will retain access to the Platform until that date.

Refund Policy

Because consultations with licensed practitioners are professional services rendered, we generally do not provide refunds for completed consultations. However:

Product Orders

If Alora facilitates the fulfillment of health products or supplements, separate return and refund terms apply to those orders and will be communicated at the time of purchase. Opened consumable products may not be eligible for return.

Account Termination by Alora

If we terminate your account for breach of these Terms, no refund will be issued for the current billing period. If we terminate your account for reasons unrelated to your conduct, we will provide a pro-rated refund.

6. Medical Disclaimer

Important: The information and services provided through the Alora platform do not replace advice from your primary care physician or specialist. Always seek the advice of a qualified health professional regarding any medical condition.

Alora's platform facilitates connections between patients and licensed Naturopathic Doctors. While NDs are regulated health professionals in BC, naturopathic medicine is a distinct discipline with a defined scope of practice. You should disclose all medications, supplements, and health conditions to your ND to allow for safe and appropriate care.

Hair loss can be a symptom of underlying medical conditions. Your ND may refer you to or recommend consultation with other healthcare providers where clinically appropriate. You agree to follow up on such referrals promptly if there is any concern about an underlying condition.

Individual results vary. No specific treatment outcome is guaranteed. Testimonials or case studies displayed on the Platform represent individual experiences and are not typical results.

In case of a medical emergency, call 9-1-1 or proceed to the nearest emergency room immediately. Do not use the Alora platform to seek emergency medical assistance.

7. Intellectual Property

All content on the Platform — including but not limited to text, graphics, logos, images, icons, audio clips, software, and the compilation thereof ("Content") — is the exclusive property of Alora Health Inc. or its content suppliers and is protected by the Copyright Act, RSC 1985, c. C-42 and applicable intellectual property laws.

Limited Licence

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to access and use the Platform for your personal, non-commercial health care purposes. This licence does not include the right to:

User Content

By submitting health information, photos, or other content to the Platform, you grant Alora Health Inc. a limited licence to use that content solely to provide you with services and as described in our Privacy Policy. You retain ownership of your personal health information.

Feedback

Any suggestions or feedback you provide regarding the Platform may be used by Alora without restriction or compensation to you.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Alora Health Inc. and its directors, officers, employees, contractors, and agents shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of profits, data, goodwill, or other intangible losses, arising out of or in connection with:

In no event shall Alora's aggregate liability to you exceed the greater of (a) the total amounts paid by you to Alora in the 12 months preceding the claim, or (b) CAD $500.

Nothing in these Terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under applicable Canadian law, including the laws of British Columbia.

The Platform is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

9. Governing Law

These Terms and any dispute arising out of or in connection with them shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict of law principles.

You agree that any legal action or proceeding relating to these Terms shall be instituted exclusively in the courts of British Columbia, Canada, and you hereby irrevocably submit to the personal jurisdiction of such courts.

Notwithstanding the foregoing, Alora reserves the right to seek injunctive or other equitable relief in any court of competent jurisdiction to protect its intellectual property or confidential information.

If any provision of these Terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
